Skarta targets 103 MW Finnish solar unit by 2026

(Montel) Finnish renewables developer Skarta Energy plans to construct a 102.5 MW solar unit in the country by 2026, it said on Thursday.

It said it made a final investment decision for the EUR 70m project in Utajarvi, Northern Ostrobothnia, with plans for the unit to become operational gradually and targeting full completion by the first half of 2026.

Earlier this year, Finland’s economic ministry awarded EUR 13.3m in investment support for the project.
