Icelandic company plans 60 MW data centre in Finland

(Montel) The Icelandic company Atnorth is set to construct a data centre in the Finnish city of Kouvola, with an initial power demand of 60 MW that could increase with further expansion, local media reported on Thursday.

While the company expects to complete the first stage of the data centre by late 2025, later stages could potentially boost its capacity to several hundred megawatts, according to local paper Kouvolan Sanomat.

However, the company said that the final scale of the planned centre was not yet precisely known.
